Before long, Matthew D. of northeast Ohio and his friend Lauren P, will be heading to Peru for the luxury culinary experience of a lifetime.
As the Grand Prize Winners of the Peru Restaurant Week sweepstakes, Matthew and Lauren will visit Lima, Cusco, Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca and more. Read more about their upcoming adventure here.
And as if that wasn’t special enough, Matthew and Lauren will also have the delicious opportunity to spend 2 days and nights at Hacienda La Caravedo, which is home to the oldest continuously operating distillery in the Americas, Destileria La Caravedo.
Located in Peru’s Ica Valley, the distillery–which produces pisco, Peru’s national drink–is part of a picturesque estate that includes the Hacienda La Caravedo, a small, boutique hotel and restaurant; the distillery; and approximately 100 hectares of wine producing vineyards.
Matthew and Lauren will stay in a private bungalow on the estate, savor fine-dining, explore the nearby area and, of course, toast a pisco cocktail or two.
